Peugeot has partnered with independent French watchmaker SERICA on the new RCZ Vision concept car. The collaboration centres on a SERICA Ref. 1174 Parade watch, created as a one-off for the project and set into the interior architecture of the Peugeot i-Cockpit. Its dial is Glacier Blue, chosen to echo the colours of the RCZ Vision.
A Module Developed by Both Design Teams
The two design teams jointly developed an integration module that positions the watch as a centrepiece of the cabin. Once secured, the watch keeps its presence, legibility and identity while blending into the lines of the i-Cockpit.
Only the front of the case is visible, so the timepiece functions as a true dashboard clock. The watch can be removed as easily as it is fitted, and it returns to the wrist for everyday use.
Heritage, Modernity and Shared Precision
Peugeot and SERICA approach design as a whole, with every element contributing to the balance of the composition. The two companies say automotive and watchmaking share a language of precision, movement and distinctive lines.
The Ref. 1174 “Glacier Blue” is their shared expression of that view, combining elegance and functionality in a piece meant to serve both purpose and emotion.
