Automobili Lamborghini has unveiled the Revuelto Impavido, a Japan-exclusive limited edition marking the 25th anniversary of Lamborghini Japan.
Limited to 25 individually numbered cars, the edition reinterprets the Revuelto through the lens of Bushido — the Japanese code of honor built around courage, discipline and unwavering determination.
The name “Impavido,” Italian for “fearless” and “courageous,” draws directly on that Bushido inspiration and reflects what Lamborghini describes as its own relentless pursuit of innovation, performance and excellence.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, said the Revuelto Impavido embodies the company’s ability to unite innovation with cultural inspiration. He noted that while the Revuelto represents Lamborghini’s vision for the future of the super sports car, Impavido shows how the Ad Personam personalization program can turn that vision into a unique expression of identity and craftsmanship, calling the project a dialogue between Italian design excellence and Japanese culture.
The Revuelto itself is Lamborghini’s first V12 High Performance Electrified Vehicle, pairing the brand’s naturally aspirated V12 with hybrid technology for a combined output of 1,015 CV — a new performance benchmark that still honors Lamborghini’s V12 heritage.
Samurai Armor Reimagined in Carbon Fiber and Paint
Developed through the Ad Personam program, the Revuelto Impavido’s exterior draws on key elements of samurai armor, reworked through Lamborghini’s own design language. Sharp lines across the doors and rear bumper evoke the motion of a katana strike, symbolizing precision and controlled power, while golden accents throughout the body recall the odoshi — the silk cords traditionally binding samurai armor plates and signifying identity and clan belonging.
The front end takes inspiration from the maedate, the crest mounted on a samurai helmet to convey status and protection, reinterpreted here to give the car a bold, assertive presence. Decorative elements on the roof and fenders reference the kozane, the lacquered plates of samurai armor, reimagined through modern forms that echo the layered construction shared by both traditional armor and the Revuelto’s own architecture.
Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific, said Japan has played an integral role in Lamborghini’s growth over the past 25 years and remains one of the brand’s most established and passionate super sports car markets in the region. He called the Revuelto Impavido a fitting symbolic celebration of that milestone, given Japan’s deep appreciation for Lamborghini’s V12 legacy.
Four Configurations, Each With Symbolic Meaning
The Revuelto Impavido comes in four distinct configurations, each tied to specific samurai symbolism. Among the shiny finishes, Verde Campus draws on Hisui jade, Japan’s national stone and a symbol of life and fertility, while Grigio Artis Lucido references the katana sword as an expression of loyalty and master craftsmanship.
The matt finishes include Grigio Crater Matt, inspired by black and grey samurai armor representing fearlessness and authority, and Rosso Pyra, based on Sanada Red and associated with bravery and discipline.
Shiny configurations pair with Nero Noctis and Bronzo Oreadi accents, while matt versions feature Nero Nemesis and Bronzo Serse details, with paint, livery and carbon-fibre elements matched in finish throughout.
The specification also includes 21-22 inch Altanero forged rims in Shiny Black, Bronzo brake calipers, and Matt Black exhaust tailpipes. Inside, Nero Ade leather and Corsa Tex combine with Bronzo Oreadi contrast stitching, bespoke embroidery, a Samurai logo, and an individually numbered “1 di 25” carbon-fibre plate.
Paolo Sartori, Head of Japan at Automobili Lamborghini, said Impavido was created to celebrate the passion and loyalty of Lamborghini’s Japanese customers, with each of the 25 numbered cars representing a unique piece of that shared journey — inspired, he said, by Japan’s appreciation for craftsmanship, performance and personal expression.
The Revuelto’s Underlying Performance
As Lamborghini’s first V12 High Performance Electrified Vehicle architecture, the Revuelto combines a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 with three electric motors and a transverse eight-speed dual-clutch transmission for a total output of 1,015 CV.
It features a multi-technology carbon-fibre monocoque with a Forged Composites front structure, active aerodynamics with a three-position rear wing, CCB Plus carbon-ceramic brakes, and all-wheel drive supported by electrified torque vectoring. With a weight-to-power ratio of 1.75 kg/CV, the Revuelto accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed exceeding 350 km/h.
