Volvo Cars will become the exclusive European distributor for Lynk & Co starting in January 2027, following the finalization of a previously announced commercial partnership between Volvo Cars and Geely Auto.
The deal marks a significant step in Lynk & Co’s European expansion, giving the brand access to Volvo’s established retail network, commercial infrastructure and service footprint to reach more customers and strengthen its market position across the region.
Geely Auto Group will continue overseeing Lynk & Co’s global product development, certification and operations outside Europe.
Building on an Existing Collaboration
The arrangement extends a partnership already in place between the two brands, which currently share several retail locations across Europe.
Mo Wang, CEO of Lynk & Co International, said the deal pairs Volvo’s commercial infrastructure with Lynk & Co’s distinct brand and product lineup, and that the focus going forward is on keeping strategic alignment between the European operation and Lynk & Co’s global organization while preserving what makes the brand distinctive.
A Bigger Push Into European Markets
Martin Persson, Head of Lynk & Co Europe at Volvo Cars, called the announcement a new chapter for the brand in Europe, pointing to Lynk & Co’s existing expansion to 25 European markets and more than 140 partner-operated sales points built through its collaboration with Volvo retailers.
He said combining Lynk & Co’s brand and product portfolio, Geely Auto Group’s engineering strength, and Volvo’s commercial operations and market reach creates a solid foundation for further growth and a stronger position for Lynk & Co in Europe’s evolving auto market.
Despite the closer commercial ties, both companies emphasized that Lynk & Co will keep its own identity, products and customer experience, with the partnership built around clear brand differentiation so each company can serve different customer segments while drawing on its own strengths.
