Lexus’s F SPORT Mode Black VI Sharpens the IS’s Sporty Look

렉서스 IS300h, Lexus IS Adds F SPORT Mode Black VI Special Edition

Lexus is adding a new special edition, the “F SPORT Mode Black VI,” to the IS300h lineup alongside a set of running changes, with sales starting October 1 through Lexus dealers across Japan.

The IS has served as a compact, rear-wheel-drive sports sedan built around driving enjoyment since its first generation launched in 1999, and Lexus credits the model with shaping the driving feel that underpins the brand more broadly; over more than 25 years, the IS has sold roughly 1.3 million units across about 40 countries worldwide.

New Wheels Sharpen the Look

F SPORT Mode Black VI marks the sixth installment of Lexus’s well-received F SPORT Mode Black special edition series. Built on the IS F SPORT trim, it adds newly developed black-painted 19-inch forged aluminum wheels from BBS, featuring a slim, multi-spoke design meant to further sharpen the IS’s already assertive styling; the wheels aren’t compatible with tire chains.

As part of the broader running changes, cold-weather specification now comes standard across the entire IS lineup rather than as an option.

Special Equipment and Interior Details

Beyond the new wheels, the F SPORT Mode Black VI adds black Ultrasuede and L tex sport seats — L tex being Lexus’s synthetic leather designed to closely mimic the texture and feel of real leather — with driver’s seat position memory and ventilation for both front seats, along with Ultrasuede trim on the door armrests and upper front console.

Lexus IS300h Pricing

In Japan, IS300h pricing including 10% consumption tax starts at ¥5,900,000 for the base grade, rising to ¥6,450,000 for the F SPORT trim, ¥6,200,000 for the “version L” grade, and ¥6,950,000 for the new F SPORT Mode Black VI special edition; recycling fees are not included in these figures.
