Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi and Jean-Arthur Madelaine, Head of Design at Xiaomi’s Europe R&D and Design Center, used the 2026 GT World Series round in Singapore to announce that the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo will arrive in Gran Turismo 7 this October.
The announcement also introduced Gran Turismo’s first dedicated EV Driving Experience, a set of driving challenges and training sessions built around the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and the Vision GT.
Xiaomi becomes the 36th brand — and the first technology company — to join the Vision Gran Turismo program, which launched in 2013 to invite leading brands to create original concept cars exclusively for the series and has since produced 50 vehicles.

The Xiaomi Vision GT made its global debut at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, where Xiaomi Auto Chief Designer Li Tianyuan unveiled it, before the physical concept appeared at Auto China 2026 in Beijing.
“Sculpted by the Wind”
Xiaomi designed the Vision GT around a philosophy it calls “Sculpted by the Wind,” shaping the car around a suspended, teardrop-like cabin with every surface optimized for airflow and each structural element given an airfoil cross-section, rather than relying on aggressively sharpened surfaces or add-on aerodynamic parts.

Building on aerodynamic work from the SU7 and YU7, the concept’s cross-shaped headlights double as airflow guides, its halo taillight integrates into the rear air channel, and an active wake-control system works with those features to deliver an aerodynamic efficiency value of 4.1 and a drag coefficient of 0.29.
Inside, a “Sofa Racer” cockpit concept wraps the driver in a cocoon-like space designed around comfort and focus, powered by Xiaomi’s Hyper XiaoAi voice assistant and MiMo foundation model to anticipate driver intent and connect with the company’s wider smart ecosystem. Yamauchi said the design stays simple while revealing a sleek, strongly sculpted curved aesthetic, adding that he sees the car as a role model for the current era.
How It Drives in the Game
Yamauchi noted that the Vision GT generated strong interest among racing and gaming fans after its MWC and Auto China appearances, with community anticipation helping build momentum for the collaboration.

Madelaine described the car as a futuristic driver’s machine built to balance low drag with high downforce, saying it stays fast and exceptionally stable in-game for a notably smooth driving experience.
A First EV Driving Experience
Gran Turismo 7’s new EV Driving Experience pairs challenges built around the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and the Vision GT, giving players a structured way to explore the acceleration, braking and handling traits of high-performance electric vehicles within the game’s driving environment.
With the SU7 Ultra joining the game, the Vision GT entering the Vision Gran Turismo lineup, and both appearing in the new program, Xiaomi is expanding its presence across production performance cars, concept design and interactive driving. Players will soon be able to drive the Vision GT at circuits including the Nürburgring, Le Mans and Suzuka.
