Porsche is significantly expanding the customization options available on the all-electric Cayenne for the new model year, adding electrically operated doors and inductive charging for the first time, alongside a broader Paint to Sample color program — updates that apply to both the standard Cayenne Electric SUV and the Cayenne Coupé Electric.

Doors That Open Themselves

The newly optional electric doors use servo motors to open and close all four doors with minimal driver effort — a brief pull on the handle triggers the rest of the motion automatically.

Drivers can control the doors from buttons inside the cabin, the door handles themselves, the Porsche Communication Management system’s Flow Display, or remotely through the Porsche Digital Key, and the driver’s door can also close automatically when the driver fastens their seatbelt or presses the brake pedal.

The system works smoothly even on inclines, with sensors that halt the motion if they detect a person or obstacle nearby, and it integrates with the car’s exit warning system to prevent doors from opening into approaching traffic. Manual operation remains available at all times.

Charging Without a Cable

Porsche Wireless Charging lets Cayenne Electric owners simply park over a permanently installed ground pad to begin charging automatically, with no cable required.

The system pairs vehicle-side hardware with a vehicle-mounted pad and a weatherproof ground pad suitable for outdoor installation, transferring up to 11 kW wirelessly at roughly 90% efficiency. Built-in motion sensors and foreign-object detection stop the charging process automatically if a person, animal or metallic object gets too close to the pad.

The system is now available to order in Germany and other European markets, with a staged global rollout to follow.

A New Massage Experience

Porsche is also introducing a massage function paired with 4D audio, using 16 air cushions and six sound actuators built into the front seats’ backrests and cushions to combine deep massage sensation with music.

Drivers can choose from five massage programs with adjustable vibration intensity through the central display, and the 4D audio function can also run independently of the massage feature, with adjustable vibration strength and distribution.

The system also integrates into three new Wellness Mood Modes, which combine the pneumatic massage function with vibration and curated sound experiences.

More Colors and Interior Options

The Cayenne Electric now joins Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Paint to Sample program, bringing the total number of available exterior colors to 105 when combined with the 13 existing standard shades across Porsche’s Contrasts, Shades, Dreams and Legends categories.

On the inside, the existing Interior Style Package — a “Director’s Cut” collaboration between Style Porsche and Exclusive Manufaktur featuring a black-and-green two-tone design — now gets a new Extended Package Interior Style option with additional leather trim and Delgada Green decorative stitching, alongside further options like leather and Race-Tex seat consoles for both rows and Race-Tex sill trim panels with colored stitching.
