Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, has announced a partnership with gold-medal winning Olympic swimmer Kyle Chalmers.
As a nine-time Olympic medallist, Commonwealth Games medallist, World Cup medallist, and world record holder, Kyle is a force in global swimming.
Out of the pool, he’s a sustainability advocate committed to lessening his impact on the world around him as he prepares for the arrival of his first child.
Kyle has traded his ute for a Polestar 4 Long range Dual motor Performance, finished in gold to celebrate his achievements in the pool, which will be charged with roof top solar.

Scott Maynard, Polestar Australia managing director, said:
“We’re proud to be partnering with a young Australian athlete determined to make a difference.
“With a relentless focus on performance in the pool and a commitment to sustainability throughout his life, Kyle’s values are closely aligned with those of Polestar.
Kyle Chalmers said:
“I’m excited to be partnering with Polestar – I’ve been making conscious changes both in and out of the pool to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
“Polestar’s commitment to innovation and driving change in the industry really aligns with the way I approach challenges”
Performance for Polestar is a holistic approach that takes into consideration all aspects of vehicle design to harness power intelligently and with consideration for the world around us.

Researchers, engineers and designers work together to create efficiencies which maximise range and power without compromising on driver experience. This extends to the use of carefully researched alternative materials, vehicle testing in extreme environments, and deliberate design choices to optimise weight distribution and aerodynamics.
They all come together to create the ultimate Polestar driving experience.
