Polestar reported record estimated retail sales of 30,423 cars in the first half of 2026. During the second quarter, retail sales reached an estimated 17,296 cars.
Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO, stated that delivering record sales in the first half of the year, despite regulatory and market headwinds, represents a significant achievement.
He noted the company continues to make progress across the business, achieving strong growth in several key markets—particularly the UK, Germany, South Korea, and the Iberia region.
Retail Network Expansion and Upcoming Launches
Lohscheller added that Polestar continues to expand its retail sales network, which now comprises 235 sites—a 39% increase compared with last year.
He emphasized the company’s focus on execution across the business as it enters an important phase of new model launches in the coming months.
The first customer deliveries of the Polestar 5 are set to begin, while production of the Polestar 4 SUV has started, with initial deliveries expected during the fourth quarter.
