Ahead of the Paris Motor Show, Stellantis revealed six concept cars at “The Night Before,” an event held at Hangar Y in the French capital. Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Opel and Peugeot each showed a world-premiere concept developed under Gilles Vidal, Stellantis’ head of design for Extended Europe.
According to the company, each brand took its own approach to reinterpreting mobility, performance, wellbeing and digital experience.
Peugeot RCZ Vision
The centrepiece of Peugeot’s showing is the RCZ Vision. It revives a historic nameplate, but it works less as a restoration than as a statement of the design and driving interface Peugeot wants to bring to future electric cars.

The concept is built on a STLA One-based architecture and uses steer-by-wire, replacing the mechanical link between steering wheel and road wheels with electronic signals.
Peugeot says this opens the way to a redesigned driver interface and steering feel. Inside, the concept pairs the brand’s Hypersquare steering wheel with an entirely redesigned next-generation i-Cockpit, which Peugeot presents as a preview of the driving experience in its coming electrified models.
The company positions the RCZ Vision as an electric concept that targets both performance and efficiency, but it released no figures for battery capacity, output, range or production timing.
The Other Five
Alfa Romeo‘s Cuorerosso previews a multi-energy architecture that can stretch to models up to 4.7 metres long, with a high-performance version in mind; the brand says combinations such as a 2.9-litre V6 full hybrid, Q4 all-wheel drive, a torque converter and carbon driveshafts could be considered.

Citroën’s 2 CV Concept reinterprets the original’s philosophy of simple, accessible transport as a fully electric car built in Europe with a target price of €15,000.
DS Automobiles’ F3VER outlines the brand’s direction in design, personalisation and versatility, while Fiat’s Multiplay combines pickup practicality with SUV convenience.
Opel’s STX Concept previews a next-generation wagon with a new Opel Vizor light signature and a vertical Opel Compass, and Opel says some of its elements will carry over to production cars.
The Strategy Behind It
Stellantis describes the reveal as part of its “FaSTLAne 2030” strategy. The Paris show will include eight brands, partner Leapmotor among them, and more than 60 vehicles.

Emanuele Cappellano, Chief Operating Officer for Extended Europe, said the group intends to launch more than 50 new products in the region by 2030, widening its market coverage by 25 percent. CEO Antonio Filosa said the event reflects the company’s plan to shape future mobility through iconic brands, design and new technology.
