BYD and Mediawan, the independent European studio group, have announced “Miracle Power,” a premium special episode of the animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. It is produced by Miraculous Corp, the joint venture between Mediawan and ZAG, and will stream worldwide on the official Miraculous YouTube channels from September 28, 2026.
The synopsis is simple: a power-hungry supervillain threatens to plunge Paris into darkness, and Ladybug and Cat Noir team up with BYD to save the City of Light. BYD’s DENZA, its premium new-energy vehicle brand, appears alongside the heroes.
Building on the Chibi Special
The episode is the second project from a strategic partnership between the two companies focused on original premium content.
The first, a short-form Miraculous Chibi special titled “Watt a Dream Date!”, launched in June 2026 and drew 25 million views across platforms in 34 countries in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Central Asia. “Miracle Power” moves the collaboration into the flagship series and places BYD’s technology and automotive expertise at the centre of the story.
What the Partners Say
BYD Executive Vice-President Stella Li said BYD wanted to go beyond ordinary brand integration and act as a genuine creative partner, and that the new special lifts the collaboration to a new level by combining the Miraculous universe with BYD’s innovation.
Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and Global Operations, said BYD has understood how carefully the franchise’s world needs to be handled, and that the thoughtfulness and imagination the company has shown over the past year come through in the finished episode.
The Franchise Behind It
Miraculous was created by Thomas Astruc, Jérémy Zag and Nathanaël Bronn and is set in Paris. It has run for six seasons, with a seventh in production, along with spin-offs and a feature film, and airs in more than 150 territories.
Its YouTube network has 53 million subscribers across more than 50 official channels, 55 billion lifetime views and about 900 million monthly views, up 30 percent year on year. On TikTok it has 8 million followers and 1 billion views.
