Nissan has fully unveiled the all-new 2027 Rogue Hybrid, bringing its third-generation e-POWER hybrid technology to the U.S. for the first time in one of its best-known nameplates.
The move reflects Nissan’s long-term vision plan, which treats the U.S. as one of three lead markets and a core driver of growth and profitability. The Rogue has sold nearly 4 million units across three generations, and the hybrid version builds on that record with a redesigned exterior and updated technology.

Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president and chief product and planning officer for Nissan Americas, said the Rogue Hybrid delivers what customers have been asking for — the practicality and technology of a Rogue paired with a more efficient hybrid powertrain — and expects the instantaneous torque combined with quiet, efficient operation to change expectations for hybrids in the segment.
How e-POWER Works
The Rogue Hybrid uses Nissan’s e-POWER system, now in its third generation, which drives the wheels exclusively through electric motors, with the gasoline engine acting only as a generator and never connecting directly to the wheels.

Nissan says that setup makes the Rogue Hybrid smoother, quicker and quieter than competing hybrid SUVs, and makes it the only hybrid in its class with a fully electric drivetrain. The technology has already sold nearly 2 million vehicles across 68 markets globally since 2016.
