Renault Clio Eco-G 120 Launches with LPG Option and 1,450km Range

르노 클리오, Renault Clio expands its range with the new Eco‑G 120 hp EDC powertrain

Renault Clio is expanding its range with the new Eco-G 120 hp, an LPG powertrain offering an alternative to petrol and hybrid options already available.

With petrol and LPG bi-fuel setup and two separate fuel tanks, Clio Eco-G 120 delivers everyday versatility with total range up to 1,450 km—a key segment advantage increasing appeal for both retail and business customers.

Based on the turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine, this new Eco-G 120 powertrain expands the Clio range for greater flexibility and efficiency. Combining balanced performance with consistent driveability, it provides a simple, affordable solution for lower CO₂ emissions.

Performance and Capacity Improvements Over Previous LPG Model

Compared with Clio 5’s LPG powertrain (Eco-G 100), the Eco-G 120 has been upgraded to deliver total output of 120 hp (an increase of 20 hp) with maximum torque of 200 Nm (an increase of 30 Nm).

Another key point is the 25% increase in LPG tank capacity, from 40 liters to 50 liters. Combined with the 39-liter petrol tank, this new setup delivers total driving range up to 1,450 km. This is the same engine used on Captur and Symbioz.

EDC Automatic Gearbox and Efficiency Specifications

Available with dual-clutch automatic gearbox (EDC), the Eco-G 120 powertrain consumes from 6.5l/100 km in LPG mode, with CO₂ emissions from 105g/km. In petrol mode, Clio Eco-G 120 consumes 5.4 l/100 km for CO₂ emissions of 122g/km.

The new offer is available from €21,900 or €220/month in the 120 hp Evolution Eco-G EDC version. Notably, this is the same price as the equivalent petrol version, the Evolution TCe 115 hp EDC.

The dual-clutch automatic gearbox uses a two-clutch design for rapid gear changes without loss of torque. This technology delivers smooth, comfortable drive at all times, regardless of road conditions. Steering wheel paddles offer direct manual control, depending on driver requirements.

Proven Technology and Cost Advantages

Bi-fuel petrol/LPG technology is based on mature industrial know-how, reflecting over 15 years of expertise by Renault Group and Dacia.

Developed as an OEM system, it is as robust and reliable as an equivalent petrol engine. In the current context of rising fuel prices, LPG proves to be a smart solution, with pump prices close to €1 per liter.
