Mercedes-Benz is offering its customers a new, even more convenient way to pay service invoices digitally – and is thus driving forward digitalization in the after-sales business.
The new digital payment function provides a wide range of payment methods. This also includes a flexible installment payment with a quick credit check without complicated contract processes.
The innovative payment solution has already been successfully tested in the German market and is now being rolled out at Mercedes-Benz dealers in other European markets such as Italy, Spain and Austria – with more to follow.
Convenient and transparent payment processing
For the new payment function, Mercedes-Benz is using the solution from the Aufinity Group, which is specialized in the automation and digitalization of payment processes in the automotive industry.
Thanks to integration into Mercedes‑Benz’s own communication tool, the relevant messages relating to payment – from payment requests and payment reminders to confirmation of receipt – are sent directly from Mercedes‑Benz.
Customers can reply to these messages and contact the participating dealers directly if they have any queries. This strengthens trust in the payment process and ensures smooth interactions.
Mercedes-Benz dealers also benefit from the digitalization of payment processes. Seamless integration into the existing dealer IT landscape enables seamless tracking of communication.
Automated accounting reduces the time required for each transaction by up to 20 minutes – valuable time that can be used to focus more intensively on customer business. Innovative service formats can also be paid for digitally, such as mobile service, where vehicles are serviced directly at the customer’s premises.
“The integration offers great added value, as the official character of the payment invitation strengthens customers’ trust in the online payment process.” Julian Siefke, Team Lead Service Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz pilot partner LUEG AG & Co. KG
