Fiat is marking the Paris Motor Show with the Multiplay, a concept the brand frames as more than a show car — a new take on mobility built around flexibility and everyday usefulness.
The idea traces back to Fiat’s own history of space-efficient design: the 1950s 600 Multipla fit six people into just 3.5 meters, and the first-generation Multipla did the same with six seats across two rows in a body under 4 meters long.
Multiplay follows that lineage by responding to how fluid the lines between family life, leisure, work and adventure have become, blending a pickup’s open load bed and outdoor versatility with an SUV’s comfort, using a mechanism that switches the vehicle between the two configurations in just a few movements.
A Look Toward Future Models
Fiat is treating the Multiplay Concept as a reference point for future additions to its affordable family vehicle lineup, with the concept’s debut in Paris reinforcing that direction alongside the official unveiling of the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback.
