LG Electronics has secured its position as the world’s leading OLED TV manufacturer for the 13th straight year, capturing nearly half of all global shipments in 2025.
The South Korean electronics giant delivered approximately 3.22 million OLED units during the period, representing 49.7 percent of the worldwide market.
Industry data from Omdia reveals total global OLED TV shipments reached 6.47 million units last year, marking a 6.6 percent increase compared to the previous year. This growth trajectory demonstrates sustained consumer appetite for premium display technology despite broader market pressures.
OLED TV, European Market Crosses Historic Threshold
Europe emerged as a particularly strong market for OLED adoption in 2025, with regional shipments surpassing 3 million units for the first time. LG commanded this territory with approximately 1.59 million units sold, translating to a 50.5 percent market share across European countries.

The company’s dominance extends beyond Europe, with similarly commanding positions in other key territories. North American operations delivered a 50.1 percent share of the regional OLED market, while Asia-Oceania operations achieved an even more substantial 62.3 percent penetration rate.
Technology Upgrades Drive 2026 Product Strategy
LG’s 2026 OLED evo television lineup introduces several technical enhancements designed to address performance limitations in challenging lighting conditions. The centerpiece innovation, Hyper Radiant Color Technology, delivers up to 3.9 times greater brightness than conventional OLED displays while improving color accuracy.

This brightness advancement is enabled by the newly developed Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3, which features an upgraded neural processing unit powering what LG calls its Dual AI Engine.
The system runs noise reduction and texture preservation algorithms concurrently, aiming to produce detailed imagery without typical processing artifacts like over-sharpening or unnatural softness.
Industry-First Anti-Reflection Certification Achieved
LG received Reflection Free Premium certification from Intertek for its 2026 models, becoming the first television manufacturer to earn this designation. The certification addresses a persistent challenge for OLED technology—maintaining picture quality in bright rooms with significant ambient light and glare.

By combining enhanced brightness capabilities with improved anti-reflective properties, the new models target real-world viewing environments where traditional OLED screens have historically struggled. This represents a strategic response to consumer feedback about OLED performance in daytime or well-lit spaces.
Ultra-Thin Form Factor Wins Design Recognition
The Wallpaper OLED evo TV W6 model achieves a profile thickness in the nine-millimeter range through extensive component miniaturization and complete internal architecture redesign. LG maintains that this extreme thinness comes without compromising structural stability or visual performance.

This design achievement earned an iF Design Award, validating LG’s approach to blending aesthetic refinement with engineering advancement. The ultra-slim form factor represents the company’s ongoing effort to differentiate premium OLED products through industrial design innovation alongside picture quality improvements.
