At the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, the brand has revealed “Perla Nera®,” the most striking take so far on the personalisation program for the new 33 Stradale.

The supercar, limited to 33 units and inspired by the 1967 original, is here finished entirely in matte black carbon fiber. The name was chosen and registered by the car’s owner, a passionate collector, who developed the design in continuous dialogue with the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile. It is the only car of its kind in the series.

Carbon Fiber as Design Language

Rather than serving as a technical material alone, the exposed weave shapes the car’s look. On the bonnet it picks out the V-shaped motif, and a herringbone pattern carries the eye from the front over the roofline to the rear.

To get there, the fibers were laid by hand in the mould, each positioned to follow the surfaces, and the layup design was shared with the owner at every step. The finish is completed by exclusive all-black wheels and the removal of all external badges except the Alfa Romeo emblems, leaving the weave to stand alone.

A Cabin Built Around the Owner

Inside, carbon fiber elements combine with full Alcantara upholstery in subtle tone-on-tone contrasts. The sports seat was redesigned in fitting sessions around the owner’s physique, and Alfa Romeo’s signature “cannelloni” stitching pattern was reinterpreted on the seat and repeated on the door panels and side sills.

The headrest was reshaped to improve contact and carries a carbon insert with the Perla Nera® name, which also appears on an engraved door plaque and inside the storage compartment, moved to the rear wall on a purpose-made bracket. The black Alcantara luggage set bears the car’s production number, the rotary selector carries the owner’s initials, and Quadrifoglio and Autodelta symbols appear only once the door is open.

Mechanicals

The 33 Stradale uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with more than 630 hp, an eight-speed DCT and rear-wheel drive. It reaches 100 km/h in under three seconds and tops out at 333 km/h. An H-frame aluminium chassis and a carbon-fiber monocoque keep weight down and rigidity high.

Bottega and the One-Off Idea

The 33 Stradale is the first project from Bottega Alfa Romeo, part of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, the Stellantis centre of excellence for the most exclusive Alfa Romeo and Maserati creations.

Cristiano Fiorio, its General Manager, said every detail of Perla Nera® was developed with the owner through ongoing dialogue, calling it proof of Bottega’s aim to turn a customer’s wish into something exclusive, and of the unit’s distinct standing within the group.
