Genesis Motor UK has opened its second dedicated retailer in the country, this time in partnership with Richmond Motor Group, as part of a broader push to build out its UK retail footprint.
The Surrey location follows closely on the heels of the recently opened Genesis Glasgow and joins existing Genesis Studios in London’s Westfield and Battersea, as well as Edinburgh, giving customers hands-on access to the current model lineup, including the GV60 Magma high-performance model.
A Showroom Built Around Genesis Hospitality
Situated on Moorfield Road, the roughly 190-square-metre, glass-fronted facility handles both sales and aftersales service while showcasing the full Genesis range. The space centers on a dedicated customer lounge built around “Son-nim,” the brand’s concept of Korean-style hospitality, with materials and layout chosen to complement the cars on display.
A Retail Partner With an Established Track Record
Richmond Motor Group brings a customer-focused approach and a history of domestic and European retail awards, along with existing experience running Hyundai dealerships — factors Genesis pointed to in choosing the group as a partner.
Genesis Motor UK’s Director of Genesis and Customer Strategy, Ben Sargeant, called the opening a further milestone in the brand’s UK retail rollout, while Richmond Motor Group Managing Director Michael Nobes said the new showroom was designed to reflect Genesis’s customer experience standards and give Surrey shoppers a dedicated space to learn about the brand.
Part of a Broader European Rollout
The Surrey opening adds to Genesis’s expanding UK presence, with additional retailer announcements expected, and follows recent brand launches in France, Italy and the Netherlands as part of the company’s wider European growth strategy.
