Mercedes-Benz classic vehicles are particular treasures that deserve the very best care and protection. The new Mercedes-Benz Classic engine oils are especially significant in this regard: with a targeted blend of special high-performance additives, they are specifically developed for the operation and preservation of both young classics and vintage models.

Mercedes-Benz holds the world’s largest vehicle collection of the brand, with more than 1,100 exhibits.
The engine oils benefit from the latest research findings and developments, simplifying maintenance and collection management: their formulation comprises high-quality base oils, plus special high-performance additives that ensure excellent compatibility with historic bearing materials and seals.
At the same time, the new engine oils provide effective protection against corrosion and deposits on internal engine components. Furthermore, they impress with their lubricating properties, ensuring smooth operation and reduced engine wear. Mercedes-Benz Classic developed the engine oils together with the renowned lubricant manufacturer FUCHS LUBRICANTS GERMANY, Mannheim.
Younger vehicles from 1971 onwards, many of which are still in day-to-day use, feature comparatively modern engine technology. The oil with viscosity grade 10W-40 was developed for these vehicles.
The focus during development and testing was on optimum cold-start and low-friction performance as well as material compatibility.
It is particularly suitable for the following Mercedes-Benz model series: SL (107, 129), S-Class (116, 126, 140, 220), E-Class (123, 124, 210, 211) and C-Class (201, 202, 203, 204) as well as CLK (208, 209).
Older classics are generally driven less often, and their engines have different sealing materials and metal alloys. Mercedes-Benz Classic Engine Oil with 20W-50 viscosity is specifically tailored to these special requirements.
It contains a combination of additives that optimally protect non-ferrous metals and seals. In the course of individual tests, this formulation was comprehensively assessed for compatibility with materials of the times.
This engine oil is optimised for the following Mercedes-Benz model series from the 1950s on: 100, 108, 109, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 120, 121 and 198.
Featuring high-quality packaging and tested quality, these oils belong to the premium segment of products for vintage and young classic vehicles. With it, Mercedes-Benz Classic is setting standards of its own when it comes to protecting and preserving the value of classic vehicles in the long term.
